Beauty Notes – Eyes

My latest makeup obsession is MAC’s Paint Pot in the colour Painterly. Paint Pots are highly pigmented eye shadow colours that are cream based which dry flawlessly. They’re long lasting and provide seamless coverage without caking or creasing (even on oily lids!).

I’m currently obsessed with Painterly, a nude beige. I find that it works beautifully on every skintone as it brightens up eyes and evens out eyelids. I don’t know about you, but I have a bunch of tiny blue and red veins on my lids that I’d prefer not to be seen. As it’s quite a light colour, pale to dark olive skintones can get away with just wearing Painterly and looking super natural and fresh. If your complexion however, is darker, then I recommend the colour Quite Natural, a cool, light chocolate.

My favourite thing about the Paint Pots is that you can really play around with them. You can use them by themselves, underneath shadows and pencils to change the intensity of the colour, and mixed in with shadows and pencils to make your own colours. So really, having one or two in your makeup bag can change your collection without spending a fortune!
